The country is divided in two, like it or not. One-third greater in 2009 voted to José Mujica, ex - Frente tupamaro as President.
The lower half was divided into white and red. In the first round joined the Frente 48%, whites 30 and Colorado 17. Ie white and red together had only one point below the FA.
